CAPC (Companion Animal Parasite Council) and AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) both recommend year-round, monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention for dogs and cats of all ages and in all U.S. regions. The schedule this calculator generates is simply a 12-month series of monthly intervals, starting from today (or from 8 weeks of age if your pet is younger).
