How It Works & The Portion Formula
We first calculate your pet's daily calorie target (MER) using the standard veterinary RER = 70 × (weight in kg)^0.75 formula, then convert that into food volume using your food's calorie density.
Grams are estimated using a general average of 120g per cup of dry kibble. For the most accurate results, check your specific food's label for exact kcal/cup or kcal/kg and enter it above.
